Hello and welcome to the first blog from The Fawley Guest House!
February is almost upon us bringing St. Valentine's Day and school half term. For St. Valentine's Day we are offering flowers and chocolates with each room booking.
The Fawley is also home to The Crafting Hotelier so we can also offer the opportunity for guests to make a beautiful Valentine's Card for the love of their life. The Fawley hosted a charity coffee and craft day recently in aid of the Wessex Cancer Trust. Although it wasn't well attended, a lovely couple came and made each other's Valentine's card and thoroughly enjoyed the experience; so it seems like a fun offer to make available.
Also in February is school half term. Before we moved to the Isle of Wight we used to frequently visit in February half term. It is still quite quiet on the island in February but was a great time to relax and unwind. The weather here is often slightly warmer than the mainland and there are still some things to do. All the animal attractions are open and often have great seasonal discounts and our historical sites have great activities to keep younger folk interested and entertained. There are some brilliant outdoor activities on offer as well. A lot of fantastic restaurants are open still with great seasonal offers for a warming meal on a chilly day! More to follow in my next blog.
We have special offers on all our rooms at the moment; hopefully (unlike the advert for a certain search engine) you'll find the same rate across different search sites. But we always offer a better price if you book direct. Please give me a ring if you'd like to book or enquire about prices and room availability. Mention the blog and I'll give you an extra £5 off!
As this is the Fawley's first blog it would be great to hear from you. Let me know what you'd like to know about us. Would you like to see more photos of The Fawley, of Shanklin or the wider Isle of Wight? Would you like to be kept up to date with what's going on on the island? Leave a comment so I know what to blog about in future.
